Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Printine collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with its websites, Business Accounts, Designer Platform, Developer Platform, APIs, personalization and rendering tools, production, fulfillment, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Printine is built primarily for businesses, creators, designers, developers, and platform operators. Some personal information processed through the Services relates to those organizations’ customers or end users. Our role and responsibilities depend on the context described below.

1. Scope

This Policy applies when you visit a Printine website, create or administer a Business Account, use the Designer or Developer Platform, interact with our APIs or tools, submit content or an order, receive production or fulfillment services, contact us, or otherwise use the Services.

A Business Customer’s storefront, application, or website may have its own privacy notice. That customer is responsible for explaining its own practices, and this Policy does not replace its notice.

2. Our Privacy Roles

When Printine decides how information is used

Printine generally acts as a controller or business for information used to administer accounts, provide customer support, secure and operate the platform, manage billing relationships, improve the Services, communicate about Printine, and meet legal obligations.

When a Business Customer gives us end-user data

Printine may act as a processor or service provider when it processes personal information on a Business Customer’s instructions—for example, recipient details, personalization content, or order data submitted for rendering, production, and fulfillment. The applicable agreement and law determine the parties’ precise roles.

In some situations, Printine and a Business Customer may each have independent responsibilities for different uses of the same information.

3. Information We Collect

  • Account and identity information: name, business name, role, contact details, credentials, language, and account settings.
  • Business and workspace information: company profile, team membership, Apps, environment and integration settings, and administrative records.
  • Developer information: API key metadata, App configuration, webhook settings, request identifiers, endpoint, time, status, duration, error and diagnostic information, and other technical integration data.
  • Designer information: profile, portfolio, artwork, templates, product associations, review status, publishing records, and related communications.
  • Order and fulfillment information: order identifiers, products, variants, quantities, recipient and delivery details, customs information where needed, production status, shipment, tracking, and support records.
  • Personalization and content: artwork, images, photos, names, text, fonts, layouts, design instructions, production files, previews, and other content submitted for a personalized product.
  • Billing and transaction information: billing contact, invoice and tax information, transaction identifiers, payment status, and limited payment-method details made available by a payment provider. Printine does not need to receive complete card credentials when a provider processes them directly.
  • Technical, usage, and security information: IP address, device and browser information, pages or features used, timestamps, referring information, logs, fraud signals, and security events.
  • Communications: support requests, legal or safety reports, feedback, survey responses, and correspondence with Printine.

4. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you or your organization when you create an account, configure an integration, submit content or orders, or contact us.
  • From Business Customers and their integrations when they submit information about team members, customers, recipients, or end users.
  • Automatically from browsers, devices, servers, APIs, security systems, and service infrastructure as the Services are used.
  • From production, fulfillment, shipping, payment, and other service providers when they return status or transaction information needed to provide the Services.
  • From lawful public or commercial sources where needed for business verification, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or contact enrichment.

5. How We Use Information

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, consent, or another lawful basis appropriate to the processing.

  • Provide, operate, personalize, maintain, and support the Services.
  • Create renders and production files; manufacture, quality-check, package, fulfill, ship, and track orders.
  • Authenticate users, administer organizations and permissions, process transactions, and provide account records.
  • Operate APIs, Apps, webhooks, Developer and Designer tools, and diagnose integration problems.
  • Protect users, content, orders, and systems; detect fraud, abuse, policy violations, and security incidents.
  • Communicate about accounts, orders, incidents, product updates, support, and—where permitted—marketing.
  • Analyze and improve reliability, performance, product capabilities, and user experience.
  • Comply with law, enforce agreements and policies, establish or defend legal claims, and respond to lawful requests.

6. Design and Personalization Content

Personalization content may contain personal information about the person who submits it or another individual depicted or named in it. Printine processes that content to provide previews, renders, production files, manufacturing, fulfillment, support, safety review, and related Services.

Business Customers are responsible for providing appropriate notices and obtaining any permissions or lawful basis needed for the content and personal information they submit. Ownership and permitted use of content are addressed separately in our Intellectual Property Rights Policy and applicable agreements.

7. Business Customer and End-User Data

Business Customers control the customer-facing relationship in their own storefronts and applications. They determine what information to collect from their end users and are responsible for their own privacy notices and choices.

Printine uses end-user data submitted by a Business Customer to provide the requested Services and for limited operational, security, legal, and compliance purposes. We do not use a Business Customer’s end-user data to independently market Printine to that end user unless permitted by law and the relevant relationship.

8. Developer Platform Data

When developers use Printine APIs, SDKs, webhooks, documentation, examples, or supported agent integrations, we may process account, Workspace and App membership, invitations, environment, credential metadata, request, response, performance, error, security, subscription, and Go Live review information where those features are available.

API secrets should not be placed in support tickets, browser code, public repositories, or personalization content. Printine may retain limited logs to deliver requests, troubleshoot problems, investigate abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain system integrity.

AI-assisted developer features may help a developer understand documentation or build an integration. This Policy does not represent that Printine uses personal information to make legally significant automated decisions about individuals; if such processing is introduced, applicable notices and safeguards will be provided.

9. Designer Platform Data

We may process designer identity and contact information, profiles, portfolios, submissions, assets, review and publishing history, product associations, performance records, payment or tax administration information where applicable, and communications. Public portfolio or attribution information may be displayed according to a designer’s settings and the applicable program.

10. Orders, Production, and Fulfillment

Order data may be sent to the production, quality-control, packaging, logistics, customs, and delivery providers needed to complete an order. Recipient information should be limited to what is needed for production, delivery, support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and resolution of order issues.

11. Payments and Billing

Payment services may be provided by one or more payment processors. Those providers may collect payment credentials directly and process them under their own privacy notices. Printine may receive transaction references, payment status, limited method details, billing contact, invoice, tax, refund, and dispute information. The provider available to a customer may vary by service, location, or contract.

12. How We Disclose Information

Printine does not sell personal information for money. Some laws use broader definitions of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising; any applicable choices are described in the relevant regional notice or consent interface.

  • Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, security, support, communications, payment, analytics where enabled, and other vendors working for Printine.
  • Production and fulfillment partners: manufacturers, quality-control providers, packers, warehouses, carriers, customs intermediaries, and delivery partners needed for an order.
  • Business Customers and connected services: the organization controlling an account and services it authorizes through an integration.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: auditors, insurers, lawyers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or others when reasonably necessary or legally required.
  • Corporate transactions: parties involved in a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, or transfer of all or part of a business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

13. International Data Transfers

Printine, its customers, and its providers may operate in different countries. Personal information may therefore be processed outside the country where it was collected. Where required, Printine uses contractual, organizational, or other recognized safeguards for international transfers. Local laws and available transfer mechanisms vary, so additional terms may apply to particular customers or regions.

14. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, complete production and fulfillment, resolve disputes, secure systems, enforce agreements, and meet tax, accounting, regulatory, or other legal requirements.

Retention may be extended for legal holds, disputes, fraud prevention, backups, or other lawful requirements. Data may instead be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed.

  • Account and workspace records generally follow the life of the account plus a reasonable closure and compliance period.
  • Order, shipment, billing, and tax records may be kept for legally required or customary business record periods.
  • Content and production files may be retained while needed to provide, reproduce, support, or evidence an order, subject to customer settings and agreements.
  • Security and API logs are retained for periods proportionate to troubleshooting, abuse prevention, audit, and system-integrity needs.
  • Support and legal records are retained while a matter is active and afterward where reasonably needed to document its resolution.

15. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The current public Printine website uses browser storage for limited functional preferences, including remembering a dismissed announcement and the position of the movable WhatsApp contact control. Hosting and security infrastructure may also process ordinary network request information.

We do not currently identify an enabled advertising or behavioral analytics tracker in this website implementation. If optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies are introduced, we will update our disclosures and provide consent or choice controls where required. See the Cookie Notice for current details.

16. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, environment separation, monitoring, and security review appropriate to the Services. No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Customers and developers are responsible for safeguarding their credentials, securing integrations, and following Printine security guidance.

We investigate suspected security incidents and provide notices to affected parties or authorities when and as required by applicable law.

17. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the context in which we process your information, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent, and to appeal or complain to a privacy authority. These rights may be subject to verification, exceptions, and limitations under applicable law.

To submit a request about information for which Printine is responsible, email privacy@printine.com. Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account or interaction. We may need to verify your identity or authority before responding.

18. Requests From a Business Customer’s End Users

If your information was submitted to Printine by a storefront, platform, employer, or other Business Customer, that organization may control the data and should usually receive your request first. We will assist the Business Customer as required by applicable law and our agreement. We may redirect your request to that customer when it is the appropriate party to respond.

19. Account and Data Deletion

You may request closure of an account or deletion of eligible personal information by contacting privacy@printine.com. Closing an account does not require deletion of information that must be retained for open orders, payment or tax records, fraud prevention, security, disputes, legal obligations, or other lawful purposes. Data in backups may be removed through the ordinary backup lifecycle.

20. Children

The Services are intended for businesses and people able to enter into the applicable agreements, not for children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through the Services. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

21. Regional Privacy Information

Additional notices or rights may apply based on your residence, the location of the Business Customer, and the nature of the processing. California residents can review our California Notice of Collection. Business Customers may contact us about data-processing terms or transfer safeguards applicable to their use of the Services.

22. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services, our practices, or legal requirements. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last Updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
