COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Printine is a global community of visionary creators and surface designers shaping our design-forward collections. Our mission celebrates creativity through collaboration, bringing trend-driven designs that empower customers to express their personal style year-round. These Community Guidelines set expectations for our collaborative work, ensuring integrity, professionalism, and respect, creating a thriving space where creativity is celebrated and protected.
OWNERSHIP OF RIGHTS
By creating a Printine Artist account, you retain full rights to the content you publish, while granting Printine the right to distribute your work in connection with our products and collaborations.
When you share original work, it may extend beyond our platform through marketing, brand partnerships, wholesale collaborations, press, influencer campaigns, and third-party marketplaces, expanding its reach to a wider audience.
As your trusted partner, we work together to bring original, design-forward products to customers seeking meaningful ways to express their personal style.
NEW ARTIST APPLICATION
Printine welcomes new creators to our community. All applications are carefully reviewed, with decisions typically taking 3-5 weekdays.
Application Denials
Applications may be denied if the portfolio doesn't align with our brand or Community Guidelines. If denied, you may reapply, but approval is not guaranteed. We recommend reapplying only if your portfolio has significantly improved or better aligns with Printine’s standards.
DESIGN REVIEW PROCESS
To maintain the quality of our collections, all new designs go through a review process before publication. The Merchandising team ensures each submission aligns with Printine’s standards and guidelines.
• Pending Review: Designs enter “Pending” and cannot be edited. Keep designs in Draft until final.
• Quality Assurance: Submissions are checked for originality, accuracy, and guideline compliance.
• Approval & Publication: Approved designs go live, becoming discoverable and purchasable.
• Optimization: Titles and tags may be updated to improve search visibility.
• Declined Designs: Designs not meeting standards are marked “Declined” with feedback for future submissions.
This process ensures Printine maintains a reputation for original, high-quality work, offering fair opportunities for Creators and a refined catalog for customers.
COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
At Printine, originality is key. Protecting intellectual property ensures Creators are credited for their work and that customers trust the authenticity of every design. Content that infringes on another’s intellectual property is not allowed and contradicts our mission to offer original, design-forward collections.
What is Copyright?
Copyright protects original works of authorship, whether published or unpublished, fixed in a tangible medium. It ensures creators maintain control over their work. If it’s yours, it’s protected. If it’s not, please do not upload it.
Trademark
Trademark law protects words, phrases, logos, and symbols that distinguish one work from another, like the Nike® swoosh. Using recognizable marks without permission infringes on trademark rights and is not allowed on Printine.
Publicity Rights & Celebrity Likeness
Publicity rights protect an individual’s control over the commercial use of their name, image, or likeness. Artwork featuring a celebrity (or anyone else) cannot be sold on Printine without prior written permission, safeguarding both personal identity and the integrity of our platform.
Fan Art
Fan art is artwork based on characters, worlds, or elements from existing works. While created as a tribute, it can infringe on copyright, trademark, or publicity rights. To protect original works and respect intellectual property laws, fan art that violates these rights is not permitted on Printine.
Stock Photography
Stock photography doesn't meet our standard for original work and may involve licensing issues. Even "free to use" images may have restrictions. Ensure all images comply with licensing requirements before uploading.
PROHIBITED CONTENT
To maintain a respectful and professional environment, the following content is not permitted:
- Graphic or excessively violent imagery
- Hateful or discriminatory content
- Racist or derogatory material
- Sexually violent or pornographic content
- Child exploitation in any form
- Obscene or abusive material
- Content that is religiously offensive
- Promotion of illegal activity
- Deceptive or misleading content
Content with mature themes must be flagged appropriately during upload or it may be subject to removal.
DESIGN DELETION & ACCOUNT CLOSURE
Printine provides artists with flexibility in managing their shops and designs. To ensure clarity, the following guidelines outline what happens when a design is deleted:
• Immediate Removal: Deleted designs are immediately removed from the Artist Studio and the site.
• 30-Day Retention: Deleted designs remain in our internal system for 30 days but are not visible, discoverable, or purchasable.
• Permanent Deletion: After 30 days, designs are permanently removed and cannot be restored.
• Restoration: Printine currently does not offer restoration of deleted designs. In rare cases, we may review requests, but restoration is not guaranteed.

BRAND & WEBSITE ETIQUETTE
Printine is a community built on creativity, professionalism, and respect. To maintain a positive environment for both Creators and customers, we expect all members to uphold standards of integrity and conduct when interacting on the site. The following guidelines outline our expectations for participation.
• Account Information: All profile information must be accurate and up to date.
• Harassment: Negative, threatening, impersonating, or spam behavior is strictly prohibited.
• Multiple Accounts: Allowed only for distinct creative practices (e.g., illustration and photography); prohibited when used to manipulate visibility or gain unfair advantage.
• Bots & Fake Accounts: Automated accounts or bots manipulating the platform will result in suspension and possible frozen payments.
• Spam & Self-Promotion: Promotion must stay within designated spaces (e.g., your Artist Shop). Unsolicited promotion of others' work is not allowed. External website links are not permitted in your Printine shop. Social media links are acceptable.
• Keyword Stuffing: Titles, tags, and descriptions must be relevant. Printine may adjust submissions to improve discoverability and customer experience.
• Use of Printine Brand: The name and logo are registered trademarks and cannot be used without written permission. Creators are encouraged to promote their work on personal channels and may tag Printine when showcasing products.
Representation Beyond Printine
Creators represent the Printine community both on and off the platform. Conduct that promotes hate, discrimination, or violence, or undermines our community’s integrity, may lead to review and removal from the platform. We expect all partners to uphold respect, inclusivity, and professionalism.
Repeat Infringement
Members who repeatedly violate intellectual property standards may face suspension, including removal of all associated accounts. Consistent enforcement is vital to maintaining community integrity and customer trust.
